Santa Rosa Beach, Florida The hand gesture, “thumbs up” has been a symbol for acceptance and approval for long time. Siskle and Ebert, as movie critics, used the thumbs up signal to inform the American population whether a movie was worth their time and money to view. Likewise Facebook has used their version of this iconic hand symbol with great success, creating an entire generation who “like it on Facebook”.
The pix of their elaborately detailed sand sculptures are what drive their fans to “Like”. People love sand sculptures. A picture of the 7ft tall “Illumination Castle” received 1,300 “Like”s in just 48 hours and a Christmas sand sculpture hit 500%+ virility – those numbers are HUGE in the social media stats. Capri is fond of saying, “Sand sculptures intrigue the mind, capture the soul, and delight the heart,” and it’s so true, there is something magical about sand sculptures.

Topsail Hill State Park Beach Sand Sculpture

BeachSandSculptures.com is scheduled for re-building the sand sculpture in Topsail Hill State Park’s “SandBox” Jan 8-10 (8-3). Beach Sand Sculptures intrique our minds, stir our souls and delight our hearts, yet the performance art, witnessing the intricate carving of the sand can be very much like a meditation. Obviously the sculpture will be further along each day, with the exact completion time on the Jan. 10th unknown, but if you need a little mid-winter meditation and intrigue, Topsail Hill State Park (off Scenic Hwy 30A) would be the place to be. This beach sand sculpture will be “state park-ish” and will include the park’s name and Florida State Park insignia, nature/beach critters and items as well as the Viva Florida 500 logo may be included as the sculpture takes shape.
