The new Florida law has caused a virtual sand storm along The SandCastle Coast (aka The Emerald Coast). Implemented July 1, 2018, this rule relegates those who do not own or are not renting a beachfront property to designed public beach accesses and the area below the Mean High Tide Line. Followed by Executive Order 18-202 from Governor Rick Scott there is now increased confusion and concern regarding access to Florida beaches.
